Julie Lapostolle

With 20+ years of experience in the insurance industry, Julie began her underwriting career in 2009 at Industrielle-Alliance. Julie joined Sun Life in September 2012 as a Senior Underwriter with the Career Sales Force Team. Over her 8 year tenure, Julie developed a great partnership with the advisor, performed branch office visits and held training seminars helping advisors understand the underwriting process. 

In 2017, Julie’s roll expanded as she was promoted first to Manager then to Director responsible for the development of the newly created new Tele-Interview Teams in-house and in Manilla to improve the Client experience along with leading a Team of 15 underwriters. In 2020, Julie was recruited to move to the Third Party High Net Worth New Business and Underwriting Team on the Distribution side as a Director of Underwriting. In October 2021, Julie joined the Distribution Team as a Director of Field Underwriting Solutions and High Net Worth Solutions Centre, dedicated to the success of the development of advisor’s application submissions on complex cases.

Julie completed a Master degree in Art History in Paris. She is passionate by art, history, architecture, archeology and geology. The preservation of earth and nature are really important to her. Her cottage is a place where she can stay connected with nature with her family.
